The Bayerisches Geoinstitut is funded by the European Union as a " Large Scale Scientific Facility" under the " Human Capital and Mobility Programme" . Visiting scientists from EU countries who wish to use the experimental (especially high pressure) facilities of the Institute are funded through this programme.
