The Geoinstitut invites applications from innovative and highly-motivated individuals, for postdoctoral research positions addressing outstanding problems in geology, geochemistry, solid Earth geophysics and planetary science.

Applicants should submit a research proposal, which is expected to involve the use of the institute’s unique range of state-of-the-art experimental, computational and analytical facilities in its implementation. Information on these facilities can be viewed within the institute’s web pages.

Researchers interested in the use of synchrotron radiation or neutron facilities in their research are also encouraged. Applicants should consider formulating their proposal in collaboration with a staff scientist at the institute. Information concerning current staff and research interests can be found within the institute web site.

Postdoctoral appointments will be made for an initial period of 12-30 months, with a possibility of subsequent renewal up to a total of four years. Applications may be submitted at any time to the Director, at the address given below, and should consist of
